Half blocks

Do I need to explain more? They're blocks, but half. Half wedges, too. They'd (half wedges) look great on creations where you don't want a 45 degree angle for the wedges.

Half blocks can be used when trying to save that 1 extra block in a room.
looks ugly when trying to make a 22.5 degree angle

Half blocks, half slopes, half corners, half tetras, and half pentas would be good, but unless we get that (necessary) fourth byte then I don't think it's going to be practical to add those in every single hull color and type.
