Bug Game window repeatedly opening and closing when fullscreen is enabled

I just re-installed starmade after reformatting my hard drive. I had no issues with the game before I wiped my computer, and I do not understand why I am having this issue now. When I start the game in fullscreen mode, once it has loaded it repeatedly opens and closes the game window. The game IS actually running, I can see the respawn screen and the camera is moving. If I start the game in windowed mode and then switch to fullscreen, it has no effect (nothing happens). This is very annoying because the game does not have a resolution in windowed mode that perfectly fits my screen.

Borderless window mode and set the windowed resolution to your screen resolution.
I should of been a little clearer on this.
