game freezing

so the game will start up past the launcher now. however it will randomly freeze while playing. it appears to happen the second i hit the warp drive or if anyone else in my system decides to warp. also alot of the textures are either missing or replaced with the basic grey hull block or invisible entirely...
likely started in 0.1862 and subsequent updates has not fixed it. game was fine beforehand, so can only assume it is these updates causing the issue.

running mac 10.9.5
