Funked up my missiles

I'm building a new ship and I placed two rows of 10 missile barrels underneath it and linked each set of 10 to its own computer, everything worked fine. Then I added an overdrive computer and 10 modules to each missile computer and now I cant fire any missiles. I get a power failure message. I have over 50 power blocks and about 15 capacitors, can it really need more power to fire? Did I do something wrong?

(Also place your power in X, L, and T forms. Make sure those shapes dont touch!)

But yeah, replace your 15 cap's with 150 cap's. They are just that cheap.

Really? The ship has 73k of power with a recharge rate of 13k per sec and that is not enough to fire a missile with an effect?

Overdrive bumps up the damage to 3x and the power requirements to 6x, last I checked.

Yeah when power fails, it means add more power.

On most servers I play on you'll be coming up against ships where power in the millions is the norm.

you can check the energy requirements for your weapon in the Weapons menu (press t)
go to details and look for the power consumption.
There you see the power you need in power storage for a single shot of the weapon.

yes if it says you need more power you have to add more this isn't a game error just a building error. It gets even worse with any beam combo at the moment too. XD At least overdrive is reasonable, currently the beam combos are anything but. >_>
