I was attacking a pirate starbase and had destroyed all but two of the cannons when I realized my inventory was full so I hit "R" to let the ship float for a bit (it was in no danger). Unfortunately the AI seems to have taken over and started moving the ship, which caused me to float THROUGH the wall and the ship left without me.
The ship began orbiting the remaining turrets, but didn't fire at them. I lined myself up to collide with the ship again, even opened the door quickly enough to get BACK inside, only to fall through the ship again.
A very displeasing error.
