Building my current ship, and I'm putting in lots of automatic doors. Basic little ones, door hooked to an activation module, activation module hooked into an area sensor, and then trigger blocks on either side of the door. Walk through, door opens, then closes behind you whenever you walk out. Simple.
Problem is, I want some areas to be "Restricted Access", aka where anyone walking up to them can't just trigger the door to open. That way I can make things like computer room access, the bridge, etc available only to faction members, while still letting everybody else tour the living areas by themselves.
Not sure as I've never tested it, but can a hostile player trigger an area sensor? That would definitely be a security issue if boarders can walk right through my automatic doors...
So yeah, could we perhaps slave permission blocks or faction blocks to area sensors so that we can fine tune who is and is not allowed to automatically open a door?
