Extendable booms

Much like the transformation seen in some ships have blocks capable of moving large block groups. Maybe something a kin to turrets but allowing the moving parts to connect additional power or bring together pieces for a bigger cannon.

I imagine this as being two boom blocks linked together and then a core that\'s \"docked\" to that block can move but only along the axis between the two blocks. You could build docks that allowed ships to be stowed, or use it to make extending docks that extend out of a space station to connect with a ship. Would require chained docking though.
