I looked around a lil to see if anyone touched on this subject and didn't see anything recent. Anyway sometimes when entering a sector, thruster power and how its calculated seems to get screwy at times. It causes you to accelerate to the maximum speed almost instantly. Its almost like the thruster value gets changed to 10x faster than what it should be (decimal changes?). I removed a thruster block and replaced it after experiencing it again and that seems to correct the problem.
