    Electro Magnetic Pulse Disruptors would be a good addition to the game in my opinion. You would be able to use them for a set amount of time (depending on how much energy you had would change their strength). They would disrupt the navigation systems of the ships around them and if the other ships didn't have any EMP defences then it would also take out their weapons system for a time that would depend on the strength of the EMP. This could also possibly deactivate some of their power generators and would stop them from Cloaking or Jamming.

    The EMP effect module is your friend. While it doesn't distrupt navigation, it does drain power.
