So, you start out just floating in space, but the first thing I noticed when I started the game for the first time was that drifting around in space, doesn't actually feel like you're floating; you just kind of jerk around as if you're in no-clip mode playing garry's mod or something. When you're in a ship, you actually float around and can roll from side to side.
I think that when you're not in a ship, you should still float around in this way, and can roll also. I feel that if it was this way, being stranded in space would be a much more scary experience, like it should be. Of course, build mode would still keep this very static camera.
