Hey!
I was building a large carrier ship in single player, and I had in mind 4 smaller ships docked to the top, bottom, and sides (acting kind of like detachable weapon arrays). However, when I tried docking one of the smaller ships to the bottom, it was facing backwards, to my dismay.
Now, for practical purposes, this might be nice if an enemy is behind the large ship, but such was not what I wanted, and other people might feel the same way (or they might want something docked at the top of their ship to face backwards, etc). My suggestion here is to implement a way to choose which direction your ship faces when it docks, so long as it stays within the confines of the docking area. Something like "reverse docking" where it points in the opposite direction might be adequate, though there might be other ways.
Thanks for reading!
