Docking not happening on large, wide ships

My ship is over 403M long, including core. I have a docking room of equal size, and whenever I try and dock anything (turrets or ships, with respective blocks of course) it says 'cannot dock here.' Thing is, this only happens the further I am away from the core. My docking room is just underneath the core, and ships refuse to dock at around 200M. This is irritating, as I want to have side turrets on the outer edges of the ship. It seems wrong to complain about this when the dev has spent so long on docking bugs, but this is irritating me.

TL;DR I can't dock anything 200M from ship's core. Anyone else getting this bug or is it just me?

you are not alone with this bug i have a ship i have spent so much time working on and ith was 568M long and 305M wide and 207M tall and i couldnt dock anything to the very top or bottom and near front and rear but i could only dock on the sides of the ship. the problem is the ship of those demensions was dependent on turrets for its defense considering the ship was a salvage/carrier but because of the bug it wasnt able to defend itself using turrets and was soon destroyed by a pirate raid..... sadly in the short life of the ship i couldnt take a screenshot to show the ships areas where i couldnt dock. forget about that docking bug for me because that ship was actually my first ship of such high dimensions, the only bug im worrying about (at least i think its a bug) is where not all the turrets spawn on ships bought from the catalog.

Glad to see I\'m not the only onw having this problem, this is getting my goat.
