Deleting Locally Saved Ships

Is it ok to delete locally saved ships from the filesystem (ie from the save folder)? I have some very early designs that have been uploaded to the server now I no longer want, and the list is getting overcramped.

Just checking it is before I go ahead and the game goes mental on me.
