A block (or group of blocks?) which when activated takes a snapshot of your ship (or station?) blue-print. It has an inventory for blocks, and based on its size (power requirement) it scans the ship looking for blocks which are damaged/destroyed, and replaces them with good ones from inventory.

It shouldn't work so fast that it has too significant an "In-combat" usefullness, but it would be great for those between-battle repairs... saveing you having to fix your ship one block at a time.

Totally agree. Maybe shops or some new \"repair\" structure will repair your ship for the blockcost * interest rate %. Very good idea.

Maybe even a hand held device that shows a progress bar and repairs the ship over time depending on the damage. It would take the actual items from your inventory and notify you if you\'re missing the right blocks.

As it stands repairing hull damage after a fight can be so time consuming that it\'d be more time efficient to just rebuy the ship.

It\'d be fun if the repair rate depends on the amount of enhancers or whatever, so you could have active tank ships, maybe heavely penilize shield if you have a fast repair rate

Yes, a repair function would be great! Especially when your poor ship loses a weapon\'s computer...
