Custom Skins & Locators

Servers are getting alot of heartache trying to push skins onto people all at once. So why not take the load off of them entirely. Trackmania uses a 'locator' system. Essentially, whatever folder your skin is in, theres also a txt file with a url in it. The url points to like, imgur or something, where you have your skin uploaded. People download it directly from there, it never has to touch the server.



While we're on the topic, enable an option to disallow skin downloading...

There is not \"base skin\" like Minecraft where you can simply edit it

Go and download one of the skins that the developers made, like that female skin or that orange astronaut skin and try to modify it from there. You should be able to find them in the update topic or where ever it is.
