Bug copy and pasting problem

I am trying to copy and paste a planet segment for a ship but my game keeps lagging out and crashing. I have a decent computer and I have everything else at max also it is only a small segment of a dwarf planet. can someone help.

And even with more memory there are limits before it crashes. I can typically put down a 100x100x50 block without crashing the game but it depends on a lot of things (computer hardware) you might end up having to do the copy paste in pieces. I would recommend using a block that stands out as a measuring tool on the planet. Sometimes I've had to wait minutes for blocks to relink to computers.

Place marker blocks on the planet plate and divide it into smaller pieces. Copy each piece and save as a template. Then add them to the ship piece by piece.
