Clearing Mobs directly from the save files?

Just wondering how dangerous this would be and how to do it safely? Figured it might help for those cases where mobs the commands aren't getting rid of turn up.

Unless you erase an entity containing a player in one form or another, and said entity has no docked entities(or those were erased too), there should be no consequences. A FileNotFound message may appear in the logs, but it should not impact the game.
