this would indeed improve gameplay as im trying to make a multicomponent ship able to change shape dependant on the situation.

+1 this idea! may be hard with potential collisions to implement? but still would be good.

it already ignores collisions with normal docking

and our faction NEEDS this, we want to have a deployer system for ground troops, where a huge carrier contains dropships that contain drop pods that contain soldiers, but right now it isn\'t possible =(

This is already planned. It tells you that when you try to dock a ship with turrets on.
