Cant play!

Ok so I have no clue what I'm doing wrong. So here is what I have done:

Downloaded the game from this sight...

Updated the game...

Hit Start game

I don't change any of the the settings due to never playing this game and hit ok

the game pops up with the next screen wich bring up the starmade server manager and starmade connector and it just sits on this screen for ever.....

To start starmade just click on the connection setup and then click enter

to play multiplayer,click on the circle thing at the left of where it says multiplayer and then put the ip, and then start ter game

OK so I am able to connect to other players servers but if I just want to play single player the game will not let me.

Any suggestions?

what does it say when you try joining SP

SP means single player
