Can't Find ship

Was killed by pirates while outside ship and now I can't Find it. I used the 'search for last entered ship, button went to sector it gave me but nothing was there. Tried to use the search command but i got an error that says "invalid parameter count: used 4, but should be 1" don't know what that means.Is there a way to find out what sector i died in or anything that can help me?

When you die your ships core overheats, if you don\'t get there in time it dissapears. It could have also flew to another sector if the ship was still moving when you died.
