Cannot Create Faction

When I keep trying to create a faction in SP it keeps saying Please Use Alphanumeric (which I am). I've tried various names, restarted the game but ever since the latest patch it's been broken.

Hmm, I created a faction in the new release (0.188) without problem a few days ago, did you made a new install, or did you upgrade an existing game.

Just tried, seems to be working fine for me, are you by chance using special characters by mistake? Could try listing some of the names you tried to see if it works for anyone else.

Hey I upgraded my game, not a reinstall. Should I reinstall? That won't delete my catalog correct?

I just tried simple names such as xBB or even aaa. etc.

Name is too short then. You need at least 6 characters.
Starmade seems to be throwing the "Alphanumeric" error at every problem (I got it from a shop as well iirc). But yeah, make it longer and it should work.
