If you open the catalog (or maybe shop) near a shop and you sitting in one of your ships there should be an option to buy ships/turrets directly to the docking units.
example: you open the catalog (or maybe shop) -> choose your ship/turret -> there is a checkbox with the name "buy to docking unit/s" -> you X the checkbox -> click on "buy" -> new window opens and asks you on which docking unit you want to buy the ship/turret (if it can dock there) -> profit
