Build mode reticle box?

Just recently I've noticed that after a few minutes in build mode, a yellow box appears in the centre of the screen. It is not the box that highlights which block you are looking at. It turns as you look around but does not change size when looking at different distances and as far as I can tell it has no discernable use. It just seems to get in the way. I don't know why it appears and the only way to make it go away is to exit the ship core and re-enter.



Any help?

1) you may have zoomed out, you can use the shift(deflaut) and mouseweel to zoom in and out.

2) this is a placeholder, the simpe fact that it is there is the same reason there is a ship core(alows game to bind perspective to a location)

3) some key combinations cuase you to zoom out as wel, and are the same as the mouse in that it zoomes in and out

4) if all else fails, try restarting the game or even the computer...

It was zoomed out and it does seem to be that its key combinations that do it. At least I know how to get rid of it. Thanks
