Currently it is quite easy to do a silly mistake, especially if you have played Minecraft before. Normally in these games you open chest by right-clicking them, which in this game you do with R key. Difference here is that right-click here breaks the chest, and all the items leave floating in air.
This in my opinion is nearly game breaking flaw that should be corrected. Either a confirmation dialog like "Are you sure want to break chest with items in it?", or don't let the chest to break at all until player empties it. Weapons, explosions and salvaging beams could be exception to the rule - allowing full chests to break.
