OK, so I literally just discovered this game and I was like "Hey $6, what a deal!" so I pretty much just bought it without caring.

So I hop into the game, and it's cool. Awesome. I'm watching some videos right now to get more detail as to what I can actually do. I'm just wondering though, what's the difference between having bought the game and not having bought the game? I see no differences.

In the future, you have to buy the game to play it.

Currently, as Bob said above, there is no difference. Alpha is Free To Play. Beta onwards will be Pay To Play.
