Block Duplication Bug

I have a private server that I set up not long ago, hosted in Texas. It's on a system in a datacenter, with high end data connection and on a powerful computer. When users from Europe connect (two users tested this, both with pings around 150-160), they are able to duplicate blocks just by placing them rapidly and then breaking them again. The block counter in the hotbar fluctuates a lot when this is done, up and down, until the users stop. Users who are in America and thus have lower pings are not able to duplicate this. It seems as though lag is causing a glitch/desynch that makes the server think more blocks are placed than actually are.

    EDIT: Added extra information.

This has happened to me before, but the block count fixes itself once the server responds for me. If it still doesn\'t fix itself try reconnecting to the server.

Yes, it\'s permanent. I had the user who found this test it for permanence. He duplicated blocks, logged off, logged back on, and they were still there. In addition, the blocks sell and function quite nicely.

Also, appears I\'m not the only one to spot this: http://star-made.org/content/duplicating-blocksmultiple-people-core
