On first run the launcher could prompt the user to specify a folder to check for new blueprints and add them to the catalog. Usually the /downloads/ folder. If someone downloads a blueprint that's compressed then a little bit of gnu source code can be slapped on to check the format and decompress the files before integration. Eventually it might be able to do the same for skins and sector export files. The only users who will need to learn the ship catalog manager then would be folks with stuff they want to remove from the catalog or people who want to export their BPs for upload.

I feel it would be better to have a file association, so double clicking a sment file would add it to the catalog (Starlaunch will do this when I get off my lazy arse), it would limit you too 1 installation of the game in a standardised place, but with the world manager, shouldn't be a problem.

But yes, automatic importing of some kind should be added :)
