It would be amazing if when you update the ai's you make one for just about every purpose. Like a patrol ai and you give it a set of sectors and it will patrol those sectors fighting any enemys it encounters. A mining ai that you just have to select it and press f on a abandond station or asteriod and it will begin mining, and could drop off the resources off at a station or something like that. And other ai's of that nature, mabye a repair ai or something like that.
