A posssible shield bug

    OK so last night whall testing The mushroom fleets Supercapital (http://www.youtube.com/user/MushroomFleet?feature=watch) I noticed that my ship with 8 million shields And really nice armor Could have its shield get once shotted by this thing! Also If i help down the firing Key it went compleatly thru my ship Im not sure if this is a bug but it Will suck if people start Only using the Supercap (they posted the download in one of there most recent videos) If anyone else has ever experianced this "bUg with a gun that shoots 900 projectiles or so please post below

    You linked to their channel not the video itself.. but from what I can tell they just have hundreds if not thousands of very small (single block?) AMC arrays.

    This will do tons of damage as each shot does 35 damage, so 35 * 1000 = 35k damage per shot.

    If they have a couple thousand, say 5k arrays, that is 35 * 5000 = 175000 damage per shot.

    Its completely rediciously to do something like that, since it kills the game and servers, but it is very effective for burst damage.

    It\'s not really a bug, just not ballanced. You can make a ship hundreds of millions of blocks large, but there is NO way to have the shields to take on a medium-large capital with the DPS they put out. The DPS scaled nicely when a capital is beign attacked by several smaller ships, but the shields do not scale to allow a capital to fight a capital. Just too much dps and not enough buffer.
