I’ve got a few ideas that might make the game friendlier.
1. Set up game difficulties. The few times that I've played I've had to reset my universe because I always end up having over 10 pirates shooting at me at one. Setting the difficulties up in a way that limits the amount of pirate’s encounters at one time would be nice.
2. An enemy health indicator. Something like a percentage on shields and destroyed blocks or blocks remaining on the enemy would be good to have so as to tell if you need to keep your distance or to go head first to give the final blow. It would also be good for the people looking to see how efficient their weapon groups/configurations are.
