A compromise between the old Buy with Credits system and the new Fill BP with Blocks one

I noticed people like the old system of buy with credits but it totally blocks being able to use station blueprints. Meanwhile some people have blueprints that take a large number of blocks to fill and hate it with a passion.

So I figured why not combine the two? Or at least have a combine mode in the config anyways. In this case you'd buy a filled BP with credits but would still have to spawn it in like normal through the BP menu itself. This way we can combine the two systems and not have their issues at the same time. Now again this would just be another server setting and people could choose between the 3 ways to work with the catalog for BPs.

    In any event any ideas?

If you can buy blueprints (filled) with credits, why do you need to buy directly with credits at all?

    I like options.

    Takes out the survival/resource idea...

    HOW ABOUT

We could just have a feature implemented in trade guild station that you can put BP in it. Pay the amount and bla bla bla how much all it costs...... Then wait certain time depending on size and amount and etc.... Then see how it goes?

This could give more use to trade guild stations

large number of blocks to fill
Not a large number of blocks, a large variety of blocks. I've only made completely made 4 or 5 ship blueprints, even with half of them being less than 50/50/50. I said completed, not started. I've started about 25. It's the most annoying thing to runaround the system just going to shops to get 24 light blue light rods, or some weird ice spike, or having to go a system away because your faction bought all your themed blocks out of the shops. Having a "fill blueprint" tab like the sell item one, even if it needed cost more or stay there for a bit(when the station would get a supply if it didn't have the blocks). If you inserted a blueprint that the station doesn't have blocks for, it will request an event that would trigger within 10-30 minutes, a resupply of the shop with an excess of the needed blocks.
Only 5-6 bps in one shop at a time, the player that inserts it can set the permission rank, public faction ranks 1,2,3,4, founder, and private.

I am a declared enemy of block-spam in inventories.
If I would have control over the source, you would have to wait not more than a week until computers can control every system. Unfortunately, Schema will not implement this suggestion…

They would be a cannon block if you slave cannons and turn to generic computers once you remove all cannon-slaves. If you add beam blocks the generic computer transforms into a beam block …

When the computer gets deleted, it would return to the inventory as a generic computer block for controlling weapon/support systems and effects altogether.

It's even more annoying than wedges/corners/etc to have 1 computer for every weapon and effect block in your inventory, because grouping them with the cannon block would make it impossible to group cannon with beam blocks and you end up with groups of 2 (not much less).
If computers were 1 block for all, they could be grouped with cores, power, thrust and salvage modules (the absolute basics to get started).
Only 5-6 bps in one shop at a time, the player that inserts it can set the permission rank, public faction ranks 1,2,3,4, founder, and private.
I'd like if shops use local resources or are specialist traders (makes shops unique).
Shops which distribute different ship types (faction-themed?) would certainly add to StarMade.

In StarMade, no Shop has an individual character to it. But in X3-Reunion, you have to grab energy-cells from one station in systems with bright suns and transport them to the weapon manufacturer in the shipyard sector to make profit.
    • One shipyard has the best fighter
    • Another shipyard the best carrier
But the carrier can only carry fighters from it's own shipyard - so choose carefully about what you like more: the carrier or the fighter?

How about a compromise in that if you are at a shop, your blueprint will have the option to add blocks from the shop inventory and you pay for the blocks normally?

It would be the same as buying the blocks from the shop and then adding them manually, just letting you skip the "Open BP, see how many of block A you need, close BP, open shop, buy # of block A and hope you didn't misread it, open BP and add all, lather rinse repeat for blocks B through Z."

I suggested something like this right when blueprints were implemented.
