So I recently spent about 4 hours converting .3ds and .max files to .obj files. After that i would run it in a specific format which converts it into a 3d art rendering of that same 3d model but in block form. I then saved that as a mcedit schematic and opened it into my world and I'm now using that to help me build a full scale Normandy SR1. Expect updates soon.

    *UPDATE*

So I'm working on this and the Normandy Sr-2 at the same time. The 3D model converter worked and I havet the hull done and have started work on the upper wing. Expect pictures soon.

That is...epic if it actually works...The main problem is that things tend to need to be scaled up slightly to account for the blockyness.

How did you save as an mc edit blueprint? I\'m confused. You\'ve a means of saving things to a starmade blueprint? Whats the secret?

How do set them up to have a core?

I am sorry, but this sounds like a load of what comes out of the south end of a northbound steer.

As ClawRocket wrote, there are convertors that can made MCedit schematic from every 3ds or max model file. Then you can open them in MCedit and copy ships to Starmade by eye.

ATM there is no MCedit to .sment convertor. Just manual work.

Ok so what i did was i took a .3ds file of the normandy sr1 then converted it to a different file type taht this program can read. then the modeltoblock program or wutever converted it to a block model and saved it as a mcedit schematic then i just used that to see how to build it into starmade

    its almost done btw

and feel free to download my 1:1 normandy sr2
