1:1 Klingon Fleet

This is the WIP of the Klingon fleet for a Star Trek RP server I am working on (me being the Klingons, other admins are building the cardassian, Starfleet, Tholian, Romulan etc).

So far I have made the Bird of Prey, K'tinga (needs some detail work still), the Vorcha (needs nacelles finishing) and also a small starter ship (basic civilian transport/salvage ship), some of the first city on Qo'noS and an orbital space station.

Are you using some sort of special programs to get that so exact? I am asking because I have always so issues with certain sloping and curves. Also...what Star Trek RP server is it you speak of? I would love to be on a server with roving hordes of klingons and cardassians.

All of these are great but the Vorcha is a beast...

The K\'Tinga still needs alot of work on it...wasn\'t happy with it hence I moved on to the Vorcha whilest I decided what to do with it.

To get the shapes/curves as close as I can, I load up the blueprints for the ship into something like photoshop, crop the image to the very edge of the ship outline and resize so the amount of pixels equals the amount of blocks it will be (110m long ship = 110 blocks = 110pixels). Then it\'s a matter of building a wireframe from those outlines. Not always spot on but works for me.

The Star Trek RP server is one a few friends and I are setting up. I wont go into it much here as this isn\'t a server thread but the website is almost finished now and once thats done I shall post a thread in the servers forum and a link to it here.

The Vorcha\'s exterior is almost complete now, just adding the finishing touches to the nacelles and then need to do the interior.
