Some progress on my giant ship- the palanquin can detach from the ship as an escape pod. There isn't much on the outside, but it has enough fire power (so far) to kill stations quickly, so I'm off to a good start I guess!
cause I'm too lazy and it doesn't make sense to have variants that both do the same things.- the 4 kilometer ones are just local oppressors for local threats

update on my 5 kilometer ship:
I got to 4 kilos now and I decided to build 2 models: the real, planet-killing 5+ kilometer ship and an economic non-planet-killing 4+ kilometer ship
so far my no thruster shell can obliterate a pirate station in less than 30 seconds.
Is it bad that I'm building a 4 kilometer ship? With a mega weapon? And turrets that dwarf fighters? And has so far crashed my game 10 times at 2 kilometers?
I for one am very excited if such a system would occur. A reactor makes much more sense realistically and goes in touch with the overheating principles of ships. In a tactical and role-play ship, a reactor creates weak-spots on massive craft (much like the infamous Death Star) that make fighting...
