      Like the subject says. Make factories on ships a configurable feature (default off) so those who want a true nomadic play style can use it for the time being. This will also allow for feedback from the community to allow the devs to decide exactly how to balance/implement this feature officially...

      Shipyard controlling factories

      Actually this would be pretty awesome! The shipyard would first search all linked storage, then if it doesn't find what it needs, it could auto activate inactive factories to produce what it needs then turn them back off. Great extension to the idea here...

      Wouldn't you just link the salv computer to a storage chest, then use the newly added rail-transfer to transfer it to the turret base, which then transfers to the ship proper? only takes 2 extra blocks so as long as you aren't building your turrets super-tight on space should be doable since...
