Condense angled and colored armor into one type

I don\'t really see the importance of paint as an item, it just works as a barrier for creativity on a matter that is entirely cosmetic. Whatever the shape or color of the armor is, it\'s functionally the same, so there\'s truly no reason for all the clutter and complexity. Anything that...

Condense angled and colored armor into one type

In order conserve space in the shop and inventories of players, just enable plain old gray armor to have its color and shape chosen in the advanced build options, and convert all existing instances of varied armor into the same, more flexible, type. Having to wade through long lists of colors...

Rename Hull and Armor blocks to Tissue Paper

That seems like a reasonable idea to dampen the whole issue of core drilling. I think a combination of that, and tying core hp to the mass of the rest of the ship in some way would help a great deal. The way Space Engineers has the ship building work seems a lot more reasonable. Instead of...

Rename Hull and Armor blocks to Tissue Paper

I have been in and seen a few fights, and the armor DOES provide protection from glancing blows if shields have failed. HOWEVER, on larger capital-type ships, the kind you can walk all around in and launch stuff from, and which can\'t really evade like the smaller ones can.. they just get...

Rename Hull and Armor blocks to Tissue Paper

Just so new players don't get it in their head that armor actually provides any kind of meaningful barrier between you and enemy fire, I suggest renaming these to something more indicative of the protection they provide. Also make a note in the description that armor... excuse me.. "Tissue...

      Infinite Shop Stock

I\'ve searched for hours and found no other shops, so it would be nice if the one I do have wasn\'t running out with no way to restock it. In fact it started off with no resource gathering computers whatsoever, so there is basically no way at all to get more, I had to cheat myself a couple. At...

A bit of good news for thr turning and shielding of larger ships!

That would indeed be a problem. I think perhaps weapons should be balanced such that bigger cannons do more damage and have more range, and an overall higher DPS, but will have low velocity and rate of fire, making the shots easier to evade. On the other hand, smaller cannons should be capable...

A bit of good news for thr turning and shielding of larger ships!

How about putting a soft cap on shields? (The more you add, the more you get, but a little bit less each time) Shield capacity could be linear, perhaps, but shield regen should soft cap somewhat rapidly so that a ship can\'t be fully immune to anything but a massive 1km wide battle station...

      Remapping the eject key

Fixed this. Had to open keyboard.cfg and change a value. ENTER_SHIP = R ACTIVATE = R From in-game you can only change ACTIVATE To change the button for stepping out of the core, you have to edit the key for ENTER_SHIP. The name is misleading as pressing the assigned button wont put you in the...

      Remapping the eject key

Using R will eject you from the core, despite having set the module activation key to something else. While in the heat of combat, trying to defeat the pirate lead indicators by circle strafing, it's very easy to accidentally hit R. I've tried remapping this to O, but it will only apply to...
