Having the same issue. I think the update f---ed with larger turrets. I started a thread on this in general this morning and it was mentioned to me that this was brought up in the update comments, and that it\'s something the dev/devs are aware of and working to fix.

New update ruined turrets, you can't decide what way the turret wants to orient as it docks (as far as I know) and so putting constraints on the amount of space it will accept as valid based on it's orientation is just plain stupid. Anyway I'm now left with two turrets that were happily docked...
