The game will not start!

Hi there, saw a post about StarMade on MMORPG.com and decided to try it out... problem is, it will not finish loading without just quietly crashing to desktop. It gets to the stage where it says it is loading fonts and... POOF! Please give me some help... what information do I need to give you...
