I actually had TWO graphics drivers running in parallel. One Intel, the other Nvidia
I made sure that the active driver for my card was Nvidia's, then uninstalled the Intel one, and now Starmade works perfectly.
It may be something to do with Win7's User Account Control.

However, I keep mine off all the time anyway.
Maybe there's some way to register it with the UAC...?
I am completey unable to play the game because mine crashes once that long list-style loading measurement reaches 100%
