How do you guys think armor fares in game as a primary defense?
I just started messing around with the idea of creating an armor tank. With defensive effect it seems pretty tough until you fight something with heavy penetrating shots, but for a finite resource the armor bar seems to be consumed...
Has anyone had any experience using Damage pulse outside of slaving it? I remember it got buffed but it seems like you still have to effectively be ramming your target to be in range. Any advice on making an effective weapon system with it, if its even possible?
Is there any way we can get the CIR to start up a thread much like the Game Balance Suggestions except focused on existing bugs in the game? I am aware that for some issues they require a bit of time to fix, but I think a thread like this would at least give Schine an idea of what it is the...
I'm not sure if i'm wording this right, but basically, this is the issue:
I have two seperate entities docked to my ship that I want to be able to press a button to make rotate in unison. There is one logic block (wireless) in each entity which is linked together by C-V. When I activate the...
Pretty straightforward. Currently, your turrets/any other rail-based stuff takes damage during a battle, you have to manually enter each entity to repair/replenish its armor. This isn't a huge issue for smaller ships but I can see it being a nightmare for people piloting anything bigger than a...
So something that has been bugging me as I am building a new ship is how, in most circumstances, modular components are functionally useless. This is glaringly apparent to me with the ship I have which consists mostly of parts that need to move, and currently the only way to have this...
I'm not sure if I am wording this well, so here is a picture . The top most wedge orients sideways while the bottom one orients 'correctly'. Plex doors align fine so i think its just this one.
So I have a ship thats spilt into four parts. The pilotable section, the "mothership" is docked to a turret, which has two other turrets docked to it. The "mother" turret can rotate horizontally and its children turrets rotate vertically. Whenever something hostile comes into range, it starts...
I am fairly new to the game and have been playing around with weapons lately, and one thing I have noticed is that missiles seem to be the go-to in most situations. I think it mostly has to do with the AI not really paying attention to them at this time (unless its a PD turret) and the fact...
