I know what you mean with that, I experimented with it, and I saw that the ammount needed to raise the turrets would make the ship look cartoonish and would block out the view from the bridge, so I decided to keep it the way it is currently. The black blocks are not as black as I thought they would be from the color displayed in the file.

Ive started adding turrets, have a few of them completed and armored up.

For Symmetry, i have a vast supply of them, and i have a habbit of making everything symetrical.

Smoothed out the rough edged, and had an idea for another gun deck, what are your thoughts?

That is what I have been doing for my Captial Ship. Its entire inner volume is taken up by power and shielding, leaving the main deck for turrets which I have been slowly building.
