It may be your system (computer) maxing out. Starmade seems to handle client-side lag strangely.

This I am pretty sure happens when you have exessive client lag. I have a bad computer and when I load a planet it maxes out my system and I start to shake. I would say it is still a bug, it only makes the lag worse and it makes it very hard to get away from the source.
