will the damage radius show on the star map so you know if a planet or a shop is too close to a star because with the new thrust mechanics a large ship stops like a frackin overloaded freight train!
so are they going to move the shops that are too close to a star(yes this newb got nuked by an old sun while visiting a shop)what a pita to get my ship back.
I was meaning judging take all entries and place against like size/use ships so as not to have corvettes(1500 mass)against cruisers/battleships or even titans,maybe a universal clasification of ships is in order?
gee I just had a great idea for the dev team,we could make one of the shops into a used car dealership where you can test drive the ships before purchasing the blueprints because not every heavy hitting ship will fit all players(mine has a 8track player in it,wayyy before disco boys and girls...
and disco music?.........ok that was a bit much,i think all the ships looked great,aybe dalmont could put the stat sheets for the ships up and links to the community content section for newbies to try out giving them a head star for ideas for there own builds,or even purchase the blueprints.
I like to use 1/4slabs for small ship armor plating,and it's good to use for interior walls I've found.
are you going to divide into classes of ship to even out judging?
I agree with ship signatures,you could also use this to hack the transporter systems,as for the licences maybe purchasing a charter for different actions ie:different factions could hire mercs,or hire transport ships,and if they get hijacked could set bounties.
well right now a asteroid will regenerate if left alone won't it? this is great so you don't have to move your base all the time giving you almost limitless mining. (now just to figure a way to tow asteroids into my sector)
maybe a controlling computer for shields would work better,the shield computer would be vunerable to emp pulse or beam attacks only when below a threshold number lets say 10%before it starts to recharge,it would require a high amount of damage to destroy,or lower amounts would disable based on...
