how do you get rid of shilds quickly

Let me post here a totally fictional story. It may be true, IDK. It's inspired from a bad setting I met personally on public servers, some years ago. If you consider it to be off topic, please delete it or tell me to do so. I'll put it in spoilers, anyway, so you can ignore it if you like.

how do you get rid of shilds quickly

No, what they were saying is you will NOT win against a station or ship that is 3 times yours in any direction. So, since you are kind of new and can't be sure your ship will be the most extraordinarily efficient ship ever, do these: 1) Build your ship with at least same size as the enemy or...

      The T.R.Ue Ship Classification System:

From any type of reactor I feel like. Usually Power 1 types, you know, the 3d crosses or Ts, whatever you may call them. More power from smaller mass and at least, not blobs! I kind of hate blobs. Personal preference. And I also love turrets to be self-powered, not drawing power from the ship...

      The T.R.Ue Ship Classification System:

I saw your classification tends to stick to reactor size/power, mainly. But how should I name my ship categories? I am looking for a classification that can work both in Power 2 and Power 1, as other than reactor/chambers nothing is really different between them and similar sized ships should...

      still worth it?

Too bad. So, singleplayer it is. Killing cores with cannon-cannon-penetration single group is way more satisfactory for me than punching hole after hole after hole with severely balanced/nerfed missiles just to have the enemy ship still floating, full of holes and useless, still not dead yet...

      still worth it?

So, is there any server that is still alive or not completely dead, using the old power system (with no reactor chambers and kind of limited to 2M e/s through diminishing returns)? (I would also enjoy the old way of automated propulsion through push effect which can be controlled from a "Ship...

      Docked ship direction

TY. OK, it was not the answer I expected, but it is a useful one. So for the next ships I would better only use docks above main ship. Gotta test the sides sooner or later. I was expecting something about docking enhancers orientation or something, but there are hundreds of them for every dock...

      Docked ship direction

I set on my big ship some external docking ports for guests that would like to join my ship and travel some time together. Not knowing what size will they be, I simply set up for each of the docking ports an area a bit larger than the mothership itself, thinking it will cover all situations...
