    I can't remember if any guides exist but you can start with the block editor under the tools and mods menu in the main menu of the game and any image editor tutorials you can find if you need it. IIRC the editor is a little bugged but you can also explore the game's folder structure.

    I need help understanding what each block is and such. I don't know how to make my own textures yet as there is a purple file as well and then thre is the ID's and such. I need help with the explainations

    "What each block is"? If you take a look at the blocks in-game you can figure out what each texture goes to and/or memorize it. I'm not sure what you mean by purple file. Is that a solid purple texture? That sounds like the game's "missing texture texture". I don't know any of the ID's so someone else will need to help with that.

    To make a texture though it's as simple as loading a texture into an image editor like mspaint or gimp (linux and others will support different editors) to use as reference and/or editing then saving that. You can also create one by making an image in the file format used by the game (look at the texture file extension, maybe .png) with the resolution of the block texture you're making (32x32 up to 128x128).
