I like the look of those turrets, but overall the design is a bit....plain.

I can tell you're going for a ww2 battleship style design, which to be honest is probably one of my favorite styles lol.

Of course, I have no idea if this is a PvP build, in which case how it looks doesn't matter whatsoever, but since you're posting pics I'm assuming you at least want it to be cool looking.

It's a flying box with a needle on one end! Honestly, even if all you did was add wedges to Those 90° angles, that would go a long way. It's fairly symmetrical, so you should be able to do that easily, despite its size.

Looking at your other post on this thing(I just skimmed it), don't get too caught up on the "official" size chart for classes, since IRL no ship is classed purely on size. I can see you can carry some bombers/fighters, but aside from those big turrets, I see nothing for shooting down enemy fighters.

This thing is over 800m long! You need turrets! Lol.

Even "all big gun" dreadnouts from 100 years ago were completely covered in anti fighter guns.

I'm not critisizing this build. I focus on making my stuff pretty, but I started off with stuff like this: frigate.png

So, believe me when I saybim not trying to come at you like I know better.

But there's no reason a practical build shouldn't at least be pretty when it can. Replacing those hard lines with wedges wouldn't affect your armor, and would help a lot.

Although, if it was a PvP build, I'd put in some more turrets. At least some anti missile turrets.

It's a good look, honestly. I like it, it just looks rough, and I don't wanna come off like some smug jerk with a bunch of unwarranted advice...

I guess I saw what was clearly designed to look like a ww2 warship, and felt like you could some advice from someone who also loves that look. This thing has a lot of potential to look nice, and you've obviously put a lot of work into it.

Keep at it, and don't hesitate to tell me to take my opinions and shove 'em! Lol

I value all opinions even criticism i did have anti air turrets on but when i i stripped the hull for advanced hull those had to be deleted cause of the lag and collision

When i first started this ship i honestly wasnt planning it to be this big i wanted a 200-50-60 build but one thing led to another and this thing was born i will post a close up of big turrets later today

The big turrets are strong enough to kill most smaller ships from destroyer size to fighters though i had a lot of collision issues with them early on i partally solved them

Yeah, my builds always wind up a lot bigger than I intend too lol.

It's a good look, and a good start of you're planning on putting more detail in. If it's a PvP ship, then ill just go ahead and just keep my mouth shut. Er, or fingers away from my keyboard...whatever. lol

I kind of intended both actually the it has in incomplete interior that im slowly adding into after a start on a new project i will return to finish that along with the tedious task of replacing the point defenses on it

But thanks im glad it looks good once i got done with the exterior i knew it needed to be shown my fighters usually get the spotlight but this had a special charm to it probably cause its my first proper capital ship i will probably give it a download link when all of it is done

Ah, tertiary guns. (bigger than PD, more for anti-fighter/bomber work, and "pelting" small capitols.)

Hmm, could certainly do with a coating of Slabbed-armor on the gun itself, and doubly so on the effect modules and the exposed docker (yes, even just plating over those will massively increase the full-damage duration of the gun)

As to the "look" of them? I like it. they fit the aesthetic you've allready got, and much like that aesthetic, could be improved upon later.
(and they look very very much like the turrets from the Omaha-class cruisers, which were even boxy-er)

Might I suggest a nested ball turret?

They have the advantage of being exceptionally space efficient, and can be made to be quite low profile.
