AWESOME work there! It is really nice for the eyes to see this, good job on these ships! totally wanna see them sometime "irl" ^_^I've been working on a few similarly themed ships for a while and I thought it was about time to share.
So...Shark Fleet!
Here's the whole gang:
Here's my frigate Reefshark by itself. Big turrets. Not much other armament. 'Tis a silly ship. Full interior.
Here's my missile cruiser Carcharadon:
Carc's got a big array of upward-firing missile-beams, missile sub style, along with decoy and rapid-fire turrets. She
also has a full interior.
More Carcharadon:
For the engine porn fetishists:
And the flagship: Kingshark. She's 904m long, has three long range main turrets that are 90% inside the hull, another seven broadside guns per side, again mostly hidden), and a bunch of vertical launch tubes that auto fire when they feel like it(they are single axis turrets, prone to confusion). All the weird turrets make the ship an unreliable combatant at best, but I really wanted a ship that could roll up and pound broadsides into an enemy. She's fast, not at all agile, and I've spent hundreds of hours to get her to this point. She's not quite finished inside.
Thanks for checking out my fleet, sorry there are no files to download; I have to go back and modernize Reefshark and Carcharadon when I'm finished with Kingshark.

I always forget that shortcut. I was trying tab g yesterday...Nice!
p.s. hit F1 + G to remove the HUD, including the symmetry plane and cursor cube.
Which is the beauty of F1-G, it completely hides the build cursor. Also, when taking a screenshot, make sure the cursor isn't hovering over the ship, to avoid the cursor cube.
True, but it doesn't take much to keep the cursor out of the way.Which is the beauty of F1-G, it completely hides the build cursor.
Which is impossible with interior shots, and means that for most exterior shots half the image will be blank. And you still have the symmetry plane.True, but it doesn't take much to keep the cursor out of the way.
