Negative Review: GenXNova- My (Unfortunate) Experience

sorry I don't actively record team speaks I'm in so I can't screen shot and use something here sorry
(seriously who randomly records team speak? unless your streaming or something)

and no didn't miss hear you and no I'm not lieing

my best guess was at the time you were so upset you did not know what you were saying as you were very upset - seeing any who disagreed as a enemy - however just cause you did not realize what you were saying does not mean it did not happen - we can all think of a time we were super angry and said something we did not mean to friends family or a significant other - or in a game where you got really upset only to and came back 24 hours later apologizing to those who we yelled at cause you realized your mistake - but you have to take credit for it first - I mean its a online game someone sooner or later will make you angry it happens to us all but in the end of the day if you attack everyone around you it does not matter if you were in the right or in the wrong to the people you attacked

and to the people who know lecic - I did not say this was a normal for him I've never seen him go nuts like this before as I've spoken to him in team speak and in game - but we all know in the heat of a moment especially when we are upset people change - this one moment is all I'm talking about he flipped out be it in the right or wrong he did it that is all I'm saying

Correct, they could. However, whenever they do release things about people here, they've either been banned or received large numbers of warning points.

While I've enjoyed my time on GenXNova, I think it's better for me at this point if I left. Best of luck to you all.

Lecic, there should be lots of people with your real name, I know I have millions of people with my name too and 1000s of bluethunders on steam. Don't let psychological tactics get to you.

As for Odium, they are really not bad people just misunderstood, I've talked to them personally when I was in Odium and trust me when I say they just want to play games on their free time as much as possible. They are human and do make mistakes sometimes but BH isn't really a bad person, you should just try and talk it out with him or else this problem might happen again.

Never run away from problems. Break through the wall and face it and I hope you solve your problems.

As a member of odium, and a friend of people, and I do know other people with the same first name, ......... Really? I have never seen someone so but hurt over tactics to get some one to stop teasing and just come fight. If you flick the bean, expect to get wet!

We are pvp and verrrrrrrrrrry militaristic. If flexing and asking didn't get you to come fight, shouting and name calling should. If you have no intention of fighting and are just looking to get away from us and other pvp factions, just say so.

I don't want to cause problems. I don't want you to be sad. I want to play. If you are not wanting to play the pvp part of starmade, please, please, please, let us know. Your actions up to now have been very antagonistic and inciting. If your actions cease to be as such our desire to totally destroy and obliterate your ship whenever we locate it will also cease.

I am enjoying GenX and its admins.

I just ignore fools that try this stuff to me. If they take it totally to real life they are insane and need to be put down. >_> There's no figuring out my real name without knowing me personally and my in game name is a rare name on most games to have for some odd reason.

My name is Foster, and to be honest... finding you has been impossible.
I kid you not, I searched and searched, there is no one in the world like you, just to prove a point that a first name cannot be traced, even if you have a first and last name, its still literally impossible.

Even if this was a breach of security, your reaction has been a bit too overblown, and to blame an entire server community and structure for it is also extreme.
I would blame the admins, not the server and say its all garbage, that is just irrational and to the point of total loathing, which is not a review.

I read GenXnova's rules, and there's nothing about Doxxing.
"#1 No trolling.
This includes, but is not limited to, sitting in the protected sectors near/at spawn and continuously shooting another player so that the sounds and visual effects of the player getting shot is so disruptive that the person being shot can not enjoy their game. Text chat trolling is also included as it is inappropriate to simply log into our server to chat abuse others. (talking smack while in a combat situation with someone else is not trolling unless you are taking the smack talking to a personal level, please refer to the chat rules posted below)

#2 No Greifing
This includes, but is not limited to, intentionally logging into the game and think it is right for you to try and use other players as your own personal farming situation and to destroy all the things a player has worked on. (no this does not mean doing it every other day is fine, learn to not grief on newer players.) If the person is much lower in in-game advancement than you then you are grieving the other person when there are far greater and better ways to get farming in the game(in essence you are bullying a beginner player).

Faction greifing is defined by us directly but is not limited to buddy up with other players and then help yourself to whatever is available to you from the faction. The same apples 2 man team ups. You can’t just break the faction and take half the goods if it is going to leave your partner in ruins. We will request that you do work out your problems and come to some sort of understanding (not being mean here just truthful. Your moms are not here to hold your hands so you have to learn to play well with others on your own or we will have to issue bans).

#3 No Camping
This includes but is not limited to, spawn camping (both at server spawn or players spawn point) do not camp at another player(s) base for pot shots and ship kills.

Chat rules;

At no time is all caps acceptable in any text based chat on the internet. It is simple and is defined in online text communication since the creation of the Windows 3.1 computers and the internet as being an expression of yelling. So just do not yell at us. We are not yelling at you and we expect the same consideration.

In the chat from the hours of 4pm EST and 10pm EST we classify those times as “T for teen” hours or “PG-13” times and the language in the text chat must be kept free of explicit conversations or the use of harsh profanities. (The occasional “well shit” wont get you banned, but too much of it and the use of stronger words will.)

After-hours the rules lighten up a bit allowing for more mature conversations and situations as well as a bit more relaxed use of language. This does not mean we need want or are going to put up with vulgar and hateful uses of language.

The use of hate of others is never acceptable. Any discrimination and/or hateful remarks towards anyone based on; race, color, creed, nationality, sex , sexual orientation will not be tolerated. Harassment of other players or bullying also will not be tolerated in our chat, and both the use of hate or harassment is grounds for an instant ban without warning.

(most chat bans are 24 hours and you can come request to be un-banned after that.)

In most cases (with a few exceptions) admins and server moderators will give multiple warnings, but it is up to each member of the management team as to how much they are willing to put up with. So it is always best to check yourself before you wreck yourself. At no time will any ban given by a moderator or assistant admin be lifted by an admin higher than them in rank. All bans stand as they were made. The best that will be done to improve on what the management team member might have done on the server is to not have the ban time added to a players over all infractions to the server leading to a possible permanent ban from the server.

All bans require that the person who makes the ban to file a report on the site in the management team boards outlining the reason for and the severity of the ban; meaning that the management team member(s) responsible for the ban will list why they did it and why he felt it was appropriate to ban a player. In most cases a standard ban for in-game actions is 7-days, with permanent bans left to the discretion to the management team. Repeat offenders of the rules will be permanently banned based on how far the player has gone to continue to break the rules.

If you are issued a ban and you want reinstated onto the server you must file an “Un-ban me” post on our “Un-ban me Requests” thread. You can do this after your ban time has passed, not before your time has passed. If you do not apply to be un-banned then we will take no action to un-ban you and your name will remain on the list of those who are banned.

These rules directly are subject to change without notice. So it is up to everyone to stay up to date on the rules as they are posted on the site."

I'm not going to spend the time to actually read all the responses to this, but mate nobody gives a shit. SMD rules don't apply to community servers, it's unreasonable to care about somebody knowing your first name, and not worth getting upset about and spending the time to actually type out a forum post intending to drive people away from the server.

Go down a waterslide or something, jesus. Do they have waterslides where you're from? I mean, not all places have waterslides, but do some action which is basically equivalent to going down a waterslide. Just friggin chill.

I know that, but GenX isn't SMD, so some rules may not apply on GenX.
I'd ask Bobby if SMD rules apply on GenX. If not, then anyone can Doxx (On GenX.) all they want until Bobby gets tired of it, but on SMD Doxxing gets you Banned.

I would say calling someone their real name, then proceeding to harass them and other people in the TS for several minutes, even while an admin is online and not AFK, is definitely grounds for this rule being used.

Blackhawk was banned before in the GenXNova TS for, guess what, harassing people. He should have stayed that way, but he got one of his buddies to beg for the admin to unban him, and guess where that's lead us? Right back to Blackhawk acting like a 5 year old who didn't get the toy he wanted, so he cries about it and throws a tantrum.

If the server admins aren't even going to follow their own rules, I'm not going to play on that server.

How about you pull your head out of your ass and stop taking Starmade so seriously? Grow the fuck up. It's a game. Dread Syndicate is also "pvp and verrrrrrrrrrry militaristic," but do you see them doxxing multiple people, harassing people and shouting at innocent bystanders in TS who just ask what the hell is going on? No, you don't. Because they don't try to treat Starmade like a real life war, because they know it's a god damn game.

I really really do enjoy the fact that we are such a good faction people like to use us as an example for a "perfect" pvp faction..... But please every time you mention it its only going to put our name on the cover of a hate book.
