Sounds like a graphics card problem but could be any number of things, try updating your graphics drivers and see if that helps.

If you\'re trying to join it with the separate dedicated server exe open that could be the issue, just play single player and it opens your server up the same way the dedicated exe would. If that\'s not the problem then I really have no idea.

If I remember right there\'s an option near the bottom of server.cfg that let\'s you turn that feature off, once I\'m back home I\'ll get you the exact line.

Unfortunately no you\'ll have to rebuild the entire ship.

You need to whitelist yourself then you should be good to go, put your name in whitelist.txt.

Server.cfg has an option to turn enemies off.

I can\'t tell you how to become admin but I can help you with your pirate problem, load your ship up with a ton of missiles and you\'ll typically take them out in one shot, quite literally I\'ve made ships that destroy the pirates so thoroughly that only the core remains after one missile. loads...

If its still in the same sector you can set a waypoint to it, just remember to come to a complete stop when you go to quit or you\'ll come back with your ship flying off, happened to me with my first couple builds.
