Kill kill kill kill. Then kill it some more.
So when’s the actual convo about SM slang going to start? So far all I’m seeing is a bunch of wingeing about the use of the word “kill”.
Highly questionable assertions driven by massive delusions of grandeur. Why say something when you can simply know? What good reason could one have to make such claims in front of a bunch of loser space lego nerds? Please though, don't stop on my account. SMD is still full of inexhaustible...
Planets are best kept small, roughly half of vanilla configs. You can’t go too large with sector sizes either for different performance reasons as much as I’d find 100km sectors appealing. The best sector size is generally accepted as 10km.
Also, you want to watch out for servers that jack up...
Dumb people always spend more money, wether they are ignorant adults with disposable income or inexperienced kids with acess to thier parents’ credit card. Just look at mobile games and other microtransaction heavy games on other platforms.
Relying too heavily on admins results in burnout and disengagement. The community shouldn’t even think about admin intervention for anything. I’m honestly sick of dev mistakes rolling down hill to the servers and then players expecting us to clean up the mess. Nope, not happening. You play it as...
In your branding, make sure it’s very clear that it’s a legacy or pre 2.0 server and include detailed instructions on how to retool the client and log in.
VERSION 0.199.654
Just did a SP rollback and test roughly 6-10 mins ago.
Overall, very solid turret performance from my equipment.I was able to put solid DPS on very small, relatively fast moving targets without issue. Missiles are spotty but still providing reliable enough alpha.
Turret and general AI accuracy didn’t didn’t break until after 2.0 was released. They were working well enough before then, minus missiles which were still effective in certain situations and configurations, though definitely diminished in importance as a result.
Shipyards of course had been...
I honestly think Missile secondary being this charge thing was a mistake. They could have done some good shotgun type mechanics by simply having the spread be ajustable by percentage of missile secondary and randomization of the spread pattern. I’d much rather have turrets that function as skeet...
Fleet mining was never great. It should have never been introduced. If I had a dollar for every ounce of salt from players disappointed with that damn mechanic and bothering me or Benevolent about it, thinking it was a server issue we’d be filthy fucking rich. Same with shipyards.
Check any faction thread from 2015-2016 And you can see clearly what people will inevitably do if those options become available again. Every major faction used this stuff. All power transfer blocks will need to be nerfed in the block config to prevent any use again.
